- 4th-generation rural Montanan
- Attended Zurich Elementary, 1st through 8th grades
- 1994 graduate of Chinook High School
- 1998 graduate of Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia (National Merit Finalist, full academic scholarship, Honors Program, summa cum laude)
- Bachelor of Science in Communications, specializing in Media Management, Advertising & Public Relations
- Organizations/affiliations: NRA, Montana Shooting Sports Association, Concerned Women for America, Eagle Forum, Havre Jaycees, Republican Party
- Work experience as freelance writer, advertising & marketing writer, magazine editor, radio DJ, salesperson, public relations associate, political activist
- Companies/organizations worked for include Council for Exceptional Children, Clear Channel Radio, Ericsson Communications, Schwans, Randolph College, Egghead.com, Friends of Conrad Burns
- Currently works as an Advertiser's Advocate for Tricia's Trader, a paper published by Kimmel Kreations in Turner, Montana, which reaches more than 8,000 readers in central and northcentral Montana. (Wendy has a personal interest in making sure northcentral Montana prospers -- her job depends on businesses in this area -- from the Big Flat to Chinook, Harlem to Havre, and beyond!)
